Have you ever seen a digital kit and thought to yourself...

Well guess what you can! Yep, our very own Nifty Gal Marie Johansson has created a fun & vibrant mixed media hybrid page using our February new release digital kit 'PICK YOUR DESTINY' In no time at all, you'll be cutting and pasting printed digital kits like a seasoned professional, so lets check out Marie's 'nifty' step-by-step tutorial to get started!

Pick Your Destiny Digital Kit, Pick Your Destiny Painted Papers & Alpha Pack

STEP 1:

If you are lucky enough to have a 12X12 printer at home you can start by printing your papers as soon as you have downloaded the digital kit. If you are going to be using your local printing service all you have to do is  transfer the 300dpi 12"x12" digital papers onto a USB ready for printing. Ask for a heavy weight paper no less than 200-250gsm that way you are getting a final print that is a little more sturdier than a standard paper. NB: This may cost slightly more but is well worth it.

Now that you have had the papers printed its time to start playing with your scissors and glue and create so! Add some texture to the background by choosing a stencil and applying ink to the base paper.

STEP 2:

Using your fave stamps try overlaying some more texture by stamping using a permanent ink to prevent smearing. For some added tactile qualities add washi and thread to your projects.

STEP 4:

Now its time for some fun layering. First a piece of paper and a diecut star. I also cut out elements I printed from the digital kit.

STEP 5:

For extra dimension use foam dots to adhere your elements, and for an extra special personal touch why not add some doodling to your project!

PRETTY AS A PICTURE V.1 TEMPLATES

This week we are releasing over at our Scrap Stacks Store a new set of digital templates called 'Pretty as a Picture Vol.1' . Some of you may recognise this pack as it was re-released in July 2014 over at our old site Page Drafts after the sketches got a little facelift, hehe. They were offered as a freebie sketch set but now they are packaged as digital templates so finally digital scrappers can play with them...woohoo!

Pretty as a Picture Vol.1 is a lovely mix of designs. Some quite symmetrical like a beautifully arranged bouquet should be and others are very free form reminiscent of a just picked posy of wild flowers. This mixed pack makes them a very versatile little collection to appeal to all your design styles.

GET READY FOR SOME SLEUTHING CASEFILE #155 IS NOW OPEN!

Have you ever felt like you needed to give yourself a big hug too be kind on yourself? Or do you struggle allowing yourself permission to BE free and just be YOU?  Then you will totally get this months release. With our world quickening and the added pressures of daily life we tend to forget to look after ourselves, to really listen to OUR needs because we are all so busy juggling everything else.
