PRINT & CUT | HYBRID TUTORIAL BY SANNA LIPPERT

Our fabulous Nifty Gal, Sanna Lippert's is our hybrid star. She also has her latest and greatest tutorial which is all about scrapbooking those 'silly family snapshots'! You know, the ones that are fun and show the lighter side of life and well bascially that family is where you can be your most craziest and still be loved.

This eye catching scrapbook hybrid page uses our  CORE RADIANCE | Collection which is all about fitness and living a healthy lifestyle. I know...right this page is not about fitness but hey who says you have to be so specific when using a kit? It's all about how with a little creative thinking any kit can  be braodly translated into other themes. Like for example with Sanna's page below, its about how a good laugh and sometimes being silly, is a very healthy way to be and really good for the soul!

CORE RADIANCE | Collection by The Nifty Pixel

I first designed my own background using a paper from the CORE RADIANCE | Collection  then overlayed using the blending modes feature in photoshop a mix of elements including textures and journal cards from the collection to create some textured effects in the background. I then positioned the photos in a stylised grid formation so that they flowed down the left of the page.

I then dressed the page with a collection of embellishments from my stash that coordinated with the colour palette. Added some ink splatters (One of my fave techniques to do!) and fussy cut some little printed design elements from other Nifty Pixel kits that  also coordinated.

The themes of the kits might very different, but you will always find patterns/colours and motifs from other kits that will combine perfectly together to help you create an eye catching project.

So there you have it, a simple tutorial on mixing digital kits to create amazing hybrid pages. Creating hybrid projects is really easy and gives you more bang for your buck. Buy digital and create endless pages/projects from the one Collection, kit or pack. With just a little know how around photoshop or any other photo editing program you are well on your way to creating some awesome hybrid projects.
