PICK YOUR DESTINY BUNDLE + ALFLT BLOG TRAIN

Welcome to The Nifty Pixel you’ve probably found your way here along the ALFLT Blog Train! Hope you’re having lots of fun along the way. Can you believe its March already and with March comes Spring for those of you on the other side of the world, here its Autumn so the weather is cooling down thank goodness, its been a wet and muggy Summer here in Queensland?! This month not only do I have my ALFLT Freebie template for you but I also have an exclusive fan freebie pack of pretty flairs! You can find those further down the post.

Before you head off, I wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone that applied for the CT spots here at The Nifty Pixel. What a bumper number of applicants it truly was astounding to see how many amazing scrappers there are out there, some of which I had never spotted before. I ended up adding 12 new CT to my team! I know what an incredible outcome and now I have a full team and so many awesome scrappers to show off. hehe You will see a tonne of gorgeous pages in this post all created by the Nifty Gals and SSD babes using my brand spanking new collection called PICK YOUR DESTINY which coordinates with this months Blog Train!

This one is an oldie but a goodie that got a complete revamp. PICK YOUR DESTINY is a beautiful whimsical collection inspiring us to listen to our hearts so as to truly find our way in the world. The collection now includes a bigger kit with extra papers and elements to keep you scrapping those inspired moments. I added a new Alpha, a pack of Journal cards, Frippery for the time savvy, a pack of clustered overlays called Vignette Impressions and of course an Artsy pack filled with oodles of texture and mixed media to help you get your creative mojo flowing.

Because I loved the ALFLT freebie template I totally had to do a set of Page Drafts to coordinate. These are pretty white space designs perfect for scrapping your life's journey! A PRINT & CUT PROJECT BY MARIE JOHANSSON

Have you ever seen a digital kit and thought to yourself...

Well guess what you can! Yep, our very own Nifty Gal Marie Johansson has created a fun & vibrant mixed media hybrid page using our February new release digital kit 'PICK YOUR DESTINY' In no time at all, you'll be cutting and pasting printed digital kits like a seasoned professional, so lets check out Marie's 'nifty' step-by-step tutorial to get started!

Pick Your Destiny Digital Kit, Pick Your Destiny Painted Papers & Alpha Pack

STEP 1:

If you are lucky enough to have a 12X12 printer at home you can start by printing your papers as soon as you have downloaded the digital kit. If you are going to be using your local printing service all you have to do is transfer the 300dpi 12"x12" digital papers onto a USB ready for printing. Ask for a heavy weight paper no less than 200-250gsm that way you are getting a final print that is a little more sturdier than a standard paper. NB: This may cost slightly more but is well worth it.

Now that you have had the papers printed its time to start playing with your scissors and glue and create so! Add some texture to the background by choosing a stencil and applying ink to the base paper.

STEP 2:

Using your fave stamps try overlaying some more texture by stamping using a permanent ink to prevent smearing. For some added tactile qualities add washi and thread to your projects.

STEP 4:

Now its time for some fun layering. First a piece of paper and a diecut star. I also cut out elements I printed from the digital kit.

STEP 5:

For extra dimension use foam dots to adhere your elements, and for an extra special personal touch why not add some doodling to your project!

PICK YOUR DESTINY & STAR BRIGHT TEMPLATES

Have you ever felt like you needed to give yourself a big hug too be kind on yourself? Or do you struggle allowing yourself permission to BE free and just be YOU? Then you will totally get this months release. With our world quickening and the added pressures of daily life we tend to forget to look after ourselves, to really listen to OUR needs because we are all so busy juggling everything else. This kit is all about taking time to reflect, to stop and really look at where were heading. Its all about slowing down and just going with the flow every now and then ultimately learning to love ourselves along the way!

This kit is filled with precious finds from our journey. Little trinkets and positive affirmations collected along the way. With a mesh of wordart, pretty elements and strong graphic papers you will be able to create some very evocative pages...oh and have a look at the painted papers, I had so much fun creating those little tasty morsels... he he
